Freej is the title of the upcoming Arabic 3D animated series to be aired on Dubai TV starting Ramadhan 2006. Freej means ‘Neighbourhood’ in the Khaleeji dialect and would tell the comic story of four old ladies living in a small traditional neighbourhood in the outskirts of the city of Dubai. Alia Al-Shamsi is the first professional female photographer from the United Arab Emirates. She is currently working as a full time photojournalist for two of Dubai’s newspapers as the only female photographer. We decided to put our report on Oman’s first graphic design exhibition as a separate feature to be archived with some of our selected articles. You can see samples of the displayed art and learn more about the recent event at Muscat City Centre at this link.

Fadi’s “Room” won Oman3D’s artwork of the week award this time. It was created using 3D Studio Max 6 and Vray and took about 30 minutes to be rendered in the published resolution.
