Adobe AIR 2.7 SDK Released

Adobe just released a new version of the SDK for AIR 2.7 that promises to improve the performance of applications made for iOS up to four times. The new SDK can improve the performance of your existing applications without the need to make any changes, but it is only available to use through command line.

You can watch a demo showcasing the improved performance at Lee Brimelow’s blog and you can download the AIR 2.7 SDK from Adobe’s website.

The example shows an iOS application made using Flex 4.5, which Adobe has previously announced will be made available to the public sometime this month. I am really excited about that update as it will make it really easy to develop data centric iPhone applications.
