The Charges Against ActionScript 3.0

Colin Moock, author of the Essential ActionScript 3.0, has written a very interesting article that addresses the criticisms of ActionScript 3.0 and the growth of ActionScript from a simple way for adding interactivity to web projects into what seems to be an advanced development platform that is no longer accessible to the original users of Flash (Flash ‘designers’ as opposed to Flash ‘developers’). In his article, Moock talks about 9 specific issues with AS3 that are thought by many as drawbacks of the language, he includes in his article suggested workarounds and makes proposals to Adobe on how to improve on these drawbacks.
